SWA pays per trip, not per hour but if you convert the trips to an hourly wage it comes to about $115/hour for a 4-year FO. So, if your friend is making $14K/month then he's working what equates to around 120 hours a month. That's serious overtime. I believe SWA's guarantee is equivalent to 78-79 hours/month. So, either he's working the system big time or else he has exaggerated his monthly income. At $14K/month without OT, that comes to $168K a year. I don't know any airline that pays FO's that well.
