I personally don't think there is any correlation at all between when the bid will come out and what happens on this LOA. The real issues still have to be resolved with the respective countries and I think that is what is holding up the establishment of the FDA. The bid will happen when we need more pilots, and we don't right now.

Age 60, as mentioned above, and plenty of other issues will determine when that need arises much more so than this LOA.

I don't think we should worry about the bid, we should try to protect our profession and our dignity and demand that the company compensate us for biting the bullet for them by accepting a position in HK or Paris. It is that simple to me. Unfortunately its going to be a tough sell because obviously our MEC doesn't even think we are worth more than 3K per month, so how will we convince the company.
