I remember in the late 80's ORD had slot restrictions for any aircraft with fewer than 110 seats. I think the FAA would go back to that except congress are the ones that legislated size restriction away, so it's out of the FAA's hands right now. But I think it's the only way to reduce delays in the forseeable future.
