united we stand

divided we get picked off one by one as we bicker with each other over whose if bigger...

all of us know the pros (15+ days off, decent pay) and cons (low seniority, crappy starting pay, chance of furlough/strike) before we got here. those that didn't were either too lazy to research the field or hid behind rose-colored glasses. both deserve the pain that comes their way.

if you are ill at ease with the cons of this career, do not enter/get out now. if you want to make sure you can always pay the bills, rain or shine, a recent jobs report said that Uncle Sam is hiring.

by scabbing your are doing 2 things: helping the company last a little longer in their union-busting efforts and helping keep the rest of us from getting that better contract that we deserve.

yes, unions are sometimes a necessary evil, but by in large, they are the best thing an average worker can have happen to them.
