Spanky,
God forbid you ever go on strike. That is the most powerful tool a union has and the threat of it is often the only motivation for management to negotiate in good faith. If management can count on the likes of people like you they can break a union and put pilots in subservient hell. Remember Continental? Anytime you are in full negotiations you should be saving as much as you can for this eventuality. Everyone in the union will have different desires, hopes, etc. But in the end, should you ever be called on to strike everyone must walk. Even though they never crossed a line, VA and Skybus pilots willing to fly for 60-80k a year as a Captain does nothing to further the industry and help restore the lost wages and benefits of the past six years. They in essence act like a scab because the reset the bar lower rather than raising it.
I would think if you have parents living with you they have SS, disabled individuals would collect as well. Hopefully you have a wife who can have a job.
What was the point of your post anyways except to flame people?
