I'll skip response to the scab bashing responses that I had lined up.

Alot of airline pilots are spoiled, self-indulgent, holier-than-thou, Type-A personalities that think that they should be paid alot of money for only showing up 15 days per month. The job isn't that hard but they put themselves on some sort of pedestal thinking the American public should pay whatever they demand. (I see the blood boiling..) They feel it is unsafe to fly a 9 hour flight with less than 3 pilots. Relief pilot? Pathetic!! (Thank God our military has guys that think that's an easy day with 2 pilots).

As far as 'scabs',... These airline pilots don't care if Pilot A (scab) was helping his mom make ends meet, has his disabled inlaws living with him, his daughter had MS and needed insurance on top of all the other normal pilot bills. They don't care about those extras. They had the mentality of a frat. Either you follow us to the edge of the cliff or we're going to make the rest of your life hell. No excuses.

Where they willing to help out Pilot A with his hardship? Heck no, 'cuz it didn't benefit them. Marching in front of the airport helped them. It's easy to side with the group and alienate the members that didn't join the group mentallity. Kind of like a grade school playground. That just shows how shallow and self serving alot of these scab haters are.

Now, their willingness to stick together on the scab-hater-hotline highlights their ignorance. Groups of people that are engaged in a certain behaviors (right or wrong) tend to congregate. This is an attempt to justify, to themselves, that their actions are justified and serve the greater good.

Bottom line is that the scab haters will always be unhappy people trying to blame their situation on someone else's actions from 20 years ago. "Scabs" will have to endure their childish antics and suffer in the long run.

BTW - I am not a scab. Have a nice major job and would never look at a 'list' prior to allowing someone on my jumpseat. You're all welcome! Even you scab haters.
