well, even though I might come of as rather ego-centric, the low dollar has been a dream for me. Norway is one of the few countries in Europe that's not a member of the EU and therefore not a country with Euro. As our currency is mostly based on oil (Norway being a major oil exporter) our currency goes up, while the dollar goes down, which means I get like 50% more for my money while I'm studying in the US, compared to say 5 years ago.
