Looks like Boeing has awakened a sleeping Giant. Now that this midsize market has gotten Airbuses attention they will come up with something new and radical to change the industry.

Airbus was the first to use winglets(wing fences), Airbus was the first to heavily implement a fly by wire system. And It was airbus who came up with the first wide-body twin engine airliner(A300). The A300 was also the first commercial airliner to use an automated Flight Engineer. It was also the first airliner to be fitted with windshear protection
I think we will see another big innovation from Airbus in this next plane.
