Your notification reads in part:
Your medical certificate expires on XXFEB08. Enter the new medical in VIPS no later than the earlier of... a). 48 hours prior to the end of your due month; or [earlier if you have a end-of-month or carryover trip]
Mine lapsed because of a back episode, so I know that the notifications stop at the end of your due month. The overdue notice comes from your ACP/FOA when they call to hear your story. So how 'big a deal' it is, is probably directly proportional to your tap dancing skills
