If only I had a dime for every time I received these insider tips! The guy on 123.45 could be right, but that's also in my humble opinion the worst possible thing that could happen. AA is bleeding cash, still with guys on furlough. UAL employees have already been dragged through the mud for a decade, and CAL has finally put together a respectable corporate culture within the last decade as well - something that could easily be undone with merger issues over seniority. I would imagine this would require immeasurable outside financing and a crafty stock swap. I'm pretty sure we (CAL) nor AA have the money in the bank for such a thing. Sadly, and I think the UAL guys will agree with me, I think parting out UAL is something Tilton wouldn't think twice about if the price was right.
