All the money in the world can't make some people happy, but no money at all makes no one happy. Flying is fun but eventually it becomes a job.

Poor and 25 is alright. Poor and 45 stinks. I don't care how many sunsets and free hotel rooms you get money helps a lot towards having a satisfying and peaceful life as you get older. Kids need braces. College accounts and retirements need funding.

Stability and professional advancement add a lot to financial security. If everyone could make it to UPS while they were still young enough to benefit from it then would be a different situation.
