MOST accounts work with the management company finding piots, introducing them to the owners through interviews, then the pilots work for the management company - who bills the client a fee for the pilots salary (say 150K) and then adds on 30% (for example) for benefits....thus the owner getting billed 195K.

Where they REALLY get to screw the owner on is MX....but that a whole nother' story!.....or the infamous "charter revenue"...

Management companies are usually dirtbags. A dedicated, well paid Pilot can do a much better job looking out for the owners interests...despite the typical claims of fuel volume discounts, well behaved charter customers (animals) etc.
