I once was told by ATC to "side-step" to a none paralell runway (VFR) which required a little turn inside the FAF, nothing dangerous or abnormal, just not common in everyday commercial flying. When we were at the gate I had a pax wait until everyone was off the plane to yell at me about how poorly I did my job and that I was dangerous for "getting so close to the ground to land."
I couldnt stop laughing all day about it.
