Seems like there were some countermeasure testing contracts awarded about 7-8 months ago, anyone know what became those?

re: the article above, this guy will be branded as an alarmist until the first jet goes down due to a MANPAD. The administration will deny that a threat exsisted, and redirect fear of flying with more news of how Avian Flu is the "real" danger. Of course it will be a PR masterpiece to convince the traveling public that Bird Flu doesn't travel on jets. I can hear it now, "if you don't buy a full fare airline ticket, then YOU are the terrorist".

5 years after 9/11, we'll have Bird Flu instead of SARS, MANPADS instead of Jihadists on the plane, and housing market bubble bursting instead of the tech bubble.

When will the madness end???
