Here's another question for you. Is there any way to use Log Book Pro in the interview process?
What I do now is keep the details in the e-logbook, and then just do a monthly entry for 121 time in the paper book. I still use the paper book for GA, so I want all the totals to match.
If I recall, LB Pro has a pretty decent print option, both for totals and for pages. The only issue is endorsements / recommendations, which still must be in writing. You should have those somewhere. You could bring in your endorsements along with an appropriate printout of your flying time. It'd probably work okay in most places in the US. Maybe.
Then again, it might be easiest to start writing, maybe in an abbreviated form as above, maybe not. 500 hrs. isn't all that much if you spread it out over a month or so. When I first came over here DGCA wanted to see ALL my logbooks (19000 hours worth!) and it's a good thing I kept them up line by line. It wasn't absolutely essential, but it helped. They like paperwork in the TW. You just don't know what the future holds ...
