The job is not a contract term, like many. It's more like the contract Jet Blue pilots have, I believe.

I do know that one person somewhat associated with the company cost $100,000 USD to get freed within the past 2 months (not american). I don't know what the going rate is for expats. Kidnapping primarily is in the southeast corner of the county:

I did feel "locked up" for my first few months here. On this rotation, I brought my golf clubs, and that opened up a whole new perspective. There are some very economical, nice golf courses. We go to the beach. Clubs. Lots of time at the swimming pool. On the internet.
