Skywest airlines own all their Jets or leases on them so DAL is not paying any leases on any airplanes that we fly for them. That puts us in a special situation as we always have the jets that we intend to fly in any contract we sign.
Atlanta as base for Skywest is growing (in amount of pilots and flights)even if most of the 900 flying was given to ASAs 10 new 900s..........
and, Skyw Inc has increased the flying by 8 to 9% comparing with a year ago while most other Reginals are seeing huge cuts in their flying. Skywest is not longer overstaffed like it used to be.............
As an outside observer I would agree that things at Skywest look pretty good. Sounds like a good company, people like it there, no furloughs. I work for a "competitor" and I am impressed with the operation.
