Capitalism is about ownership. If you wanted to run a business to make money for your family and live a good life, you wouldn't want the government mandating what you can and cannot pay your employees. You would much rather the market decide for you on what to pay your staff.
This argument will go on ad infinitum between those on the different sides of the fence. All want the best for THEMSELVES, and so conflict naturally occurs.
If you try to curtail the rewards of running a business by demanding it be more "equitably" distributed, you end up with an Atlas Shrugged type situation.
