The RAH contracts are protected from no-compete clauses because they are written to the specific airlines, not the holding company (i would bet that might change next time they are renegotiated though.)
What is Airtrans's scope language? Do they allow for any sort of "express" operation? The comment from the MEC that you deserve a major airline contract hopefully doesn't include a major airline farm out all the flying scope section.
