Okay, fine. If
WE are ALPA, then why aren't they checking with
US before they dispute a pairing or do anything else. All I get is a bunch of communications telling me what was done, but I don't recall ever getting a vote on it, other than for the FDA LOA (I voted against it,) and the contract itself (I voted for it.) When it comes to things like retirement, insurance, scope and the like, I do tend to trust the union, because I'm not an expert in any of those areas. Building pairings, and scheduling in general, on the other hand is pretty simple, so yeah, I'm pretty sure that the SIG people aren't any smarter than I am.
In any case, it doesn't matter any more. It's apparent that not only is it not okay to DO anything that doesn't go along with the "screw the company, FedEx sucks" mentality, it's also not okay to QUESTION that mentality, the union, or anything else. Furthermore, it's also apparent that just because some people don't like it here means that it's not okay for anyone else to be happy and enjoy their jobs. Since that pretty well knocks out any chance of a rational discussion, I'll go back to just being an anonymous fly on the wall. For those of you who were cordial and polite in your disagreement with me, thank you. For those of you who couldn't do more than throw insults, up yours.
