Nope...he should retire and enjoy his life as early as possible. Work to live not live to work. Whole point of making a lot of money is to have time to get out and spend it. I'm with him. I'll be done working and enjoying my kids college sports games!!

I would love to see the actual study that everybody seems to claim to have seen. I'm sure it gets tough, especially when getting older. But what does anybody thinK a senior widebody pilot at a passenger legacy is doing in the 74/777? Day turns to FLL and back all month and for the rest of his career? Please.
whoever is telling you this crap is drunk...i know lots of retired fdx guys in their late 60s and 70s..we had an 80 yr old engineer...and again FDX has more day flying than nights..ask amwest about night flights

Good - stay there
Personally I find it easier to recover from the long INTL flight followed by a jumpseat home and a good 6 hours of sleep than from night hubturns for a week. I try to keep my body in the timezone I'm in rather than stay on Melvis time like some I know

For the radiation part I just wear tinfoil on my head and crotch and that seems to work well

Read an article in the "Travel" section of the local paper last year. Someone wrote in with this question "I`m going to travel from Atlanta to San Francisco next month and should I be worried about radiation at the higher altitudes". The answer was " Don`t be unduelly alarmed, A flight of that length would only expose you to the same amount or radiation as a chest x-ray"...Hmmmm...lets see.....two chest x-rays a day x 13 days x 30 years=? Maybe I won`t be collecting all of that retirement after all! Say MaxKts..got any extra tinfoil?
