The President signed HR 4343. Evidently he decided that one more day of pilots
getting hosed was one day too many.

It's over. The age of our retirement is now 65.

Maybe we should hire APAAD to handle our communications. Nothing from FDX MEC on this or the meeting last week. I guess Brad is still over tasked from ALPA National on issues other than age 65

SOOO, any speculation on when we'll (FDX) see a bid to bring these "experienced pilots" back to the front? I predict re-negotiation of the LOA, cancellation of the FDA bid, and then a subsequent re-bid...any thoughts?

And the absent minded minority win again. Isn't that nice? Due to greedy old dudes who should retire and enjoy life my family has to be endangered by rapidly eroding skill sets. And if you say your reflexes aren't slower at 65 than 60 you are kidding yourself. This is the dumbest thing I have seen out of DC in a while.

The thing that peeves me most about this is that the 50-57 year old crewmembers that have moved up the seniority list at a rate that has historically been determined by age 60, are now enjoying that seniority for at least an additional 5 years. Conversely, those of us that are early 40's will now have something less than that rate of advancement. Very unfair.

Dude, what about those of us in our 20's? I was, like, totally stoked about retiring in 35 years (or less), but 40 years??? Like, no way! I'm totally bummed!
