Default Faa Age 65 Q & A

This is the "new version" of the Age 65 Q & A posted at the FAA website. The previous file from January has been deleted, fwiw.

I thought this was extremely interesting: the new law does NOT provide for a "Grace Month" regarding Line Checks. Can you say scheduling nightmare? Also, the line check corresponds to the 13th of each month, not the entire month.

Also, if the pilot was not operating as a required crewmember under 121 PRIOR to 13 Dec 07, then you are to be treated as a NEW HIRE (regarding longevity and seniority). Still waiting for the def'n of "required crewmember" from the gov't versus ALPA versus the company. A cause for consternation.....
