Default a question on age 65

Can someone please give me a reason that age 65 is a bad thing that is based on something other than pure selfishness?

Its selfish on both sides I think. Older guys want to stick around and cash in on working less and making more, younger guys want the chance to move up. I think its funny how both sides argue this righteous point of view, "its age discrimination!" or "its not safe having 65 year olds in the cockpit." They're both looking out for themselves. Personally, I would have liked to have seen it stay 60, to cash in on the wave of retirements in the next decade. Its 65 now, so no big deal, just move it up to the next 12-15 years. Thats my view on it though.

You seem to have a very good attitude about it. I am 38 and it would have been better for me if it hadn't changed but it did and it's not the end of the world. True, it will take longer to get to the top, but we all get to go to 65.

Changing the rules mid-stream changes the landscape. What if after the Super Bowl was over the team that had their furtunes negatively impacted changed the rules and extended the game?

I know it is a simplistic analogy but ...nevermind.

not all of us will make it to 65. I have been told we lose as many to Medical as we retire.

And that was before age 65
