Jeez dawg, I always thought you would be among the first to cross the line if things got tough. Most of the pro ALPA big mouths were the first at EAL and CAL. You fit the mold. It appears that history shows that Bob was one the did the right thing. Tell me about the time, times you were a pilot on strike?? Thought it was never?

"It appears that history shows that Bob was one the did the right thing"

Huh? Can I send this to Congress to show what happens to some minds as they approach Age 60? God knows what George will be like next year..(Insert smiley here George)..

The rest of your post makes about as much sense as this portion. A muddled point from a muddled keyboard? Get some rest then try again MGP...

There is a noticeable trend here. In the absence of a thoughtful argument, accuse someone of being a potential scab.

Same with NMB. Faced with FACTS, change or ignore the argument. The fact is, NMB is a non-member. You cannot dispute that. He is a freeloader with no voice and no credibility. Argues about lost compensation, but won't upgrade to Capt. Haghunter and RJL(NMB) are peas in the same pod. Just like the Emert bro's, who has the brain today?

I know, I know, I would be the first one to cross..bla,bla,bla.

From WSJ today:

International aviation rules increasingly permit such changes. Meanwhile, the leadership of the Air Line Pilots Association is moving to abandon previous hard-line opposition to raising the retirement age. And recent research on brain functioning could provide ammunition to counter arguments that older pilots would increase safety risks.

Recent discoveries of brain functions suggest that for many older people, experience and ingrained patterns of thinking actually can help keep them at the top of their game as pilots, air-traffic controllers and other professions.

To be more accurate...........From when the contract was "TA'd" not ratified, we have "Agency Shop" not a "closed shop".

Agency shop means anyone in the Class and Craft must pay the association administration fees. translated, anyone that was a member when our contract was TA'd (Aug 06) must continue to pay Union administration Fee
(= to monthly dues), if they do not wish to join the Union.
A Closed shop means everyone in the class and craft must be a member of the Union.

As to the individual NON Member you were highlightling.........you are Spot ON.

Fox,

I am no longer interested in how it was done in the "good ole/bad ole" airline pilot days. There is absolutely no honor in this. It is what it is. And to think I got tired of reading those ridiculous, "and I found out about this little company with a crazy idea" FCIF's. I am going to miss them now.

You all are throwing us under the bus for opportunism.....we spent political capital negotiating for better retiree benefits......and I was a big supporter of that TA. Thanks man.

I think I'd rather have dumb Bob outta my mailbox, and outta my buddies seat. And if he needed so much money, how come he didn't take a checkride. He could have upgraded to Captain, and paid dues, and not have to "Fly till he dies".
