Wait a second....Professor V, are you saying that pilots die too? Holy shi*! I need to change careers so I can live past 60.
Let me guess, your a 30 or 40 something right seat clown who wants to old guys out so you can be a captain? You, and so many others on this site, are a selfish prick. These guys were there BEFORE you, superstar. Senority has its privlages. They can go until 65, and when your # is up, you can too, tenderfoot.

Pull your head out of your anus, chief.
Hey there Citation Boy this may surprise you but I have been a MD11 Capt for 4 years and have another 21 years to go....
Wow, you really showed me. I guess I'll just shut up.
I am enjoying the "sweet citation ride" and can assure you that my "sweet citation" flies higher and faster than your MD-11 that is carrying the blender I sent my mother-in-law.
Nice job highlighting special parts of your post. Makes it easy for young "boys" like me to read to really important stuff.

Hey if that's what does it for you.
I'm in it for the sweet lifestyle, pay, benefits and living. Bet your Citation has a little problem delivering on that.

Again good one, Professor.
I'm highlighting so everyone over 60 don't have to wear spectacles to read the computer screen.
And the best part is, most of these guys near the age of 60 had lower time when they got on with the majors than most guys have when they get their CFI's, they are soooooooooooo arrogant, I love it
If Mr. Baroowski is referring to the early mid 60s program that you could interview for United if you had your private pilots license and then had something like a year to get your commercial/instrument if accepted. I think they've been gone for awhile. Vietnam provided the airlines with a ton of experienced pilots and the competition was quite fierce. Not that any of that is relevant to the age 60 question.
I appreciate the bold print Professor but I still had to use my cheaters to read your posts. I'm surprised the whole flying on the backside of the clock hasn't been more of an issue. I'm 58.5, keep myself in good shape, and eat reasonably well, but it gets harder to do the night flying every year.

Oh, come on. As if the the guys nearing 60 are not selfish pricks. They enjoyed the career advancement afforded them by the age 60 rule and now, when it is their turn to retire at 60, they want to change the rules? That too is selfish my friend. Oh well, at least with 18-24 months and no waivers/grandfathering, we will see plenty more retirements before the new rule takes affect. Movin on up!!
