Question Citation SIC

Alright. Just picked up this rating. Woohoo for me. I have it on my certificate, but now I do not know what the next step is.

Im interested in moving planes because thats what was the premise of the company in which I got this rating through. Trying to focus in the Western US. Anyone have thoughts or recommendations to look for work? Anything is helpful. Thanks.

Do you have time in type? How about your ATP? To be perfectly honest, an SIC type rating isn't going to do you much in the part 91 world, unless you have strong connections. (Don't mean to be a downer, but just trying to be honest).

Your best bet is to try and work a deal with local operators that might have single pilot waivers and ask if you can come fly along with them to build some time in the type.

Not a lot of time in type. Still shy on hours for ATP. Im maybe just looking for some database or web search to put myself out there.

Youve got a good point Josh. Ill look into it. Thanks.

Where are you located? Send me a PM with your address and I can try to help you out.

You can also use these websites to check local operators:

Shoot for a 135 operator sounds like a good choice IMO

It doesnt...but Ive got this rating now and just seeing what I can do with it. Dont really have the money to upgrade right now, so Ill build some time wherever I can whenever I can and tuck away money from elsewhere so I can think about the PIC upgrade.
