Default CFI Interview

Hey all,

Going for an interview tomorrow for a CFI position.

Anyone know what I should expect?

Thanks!

I'd say it depends on the school. If you trained there, it should be a little more familiar to you. Usually, you'd speak to the Chief Instructor. Treat it like a normal job interview and be prepared. If you're going somewhere new, same advice, but you don't have the benefit of knowing your interviewer. Or maybe that's a gift if you are exceptionally outgoing.

Just don't say anything stupid, it works for me!

Seriously though, be confident in what you know, and more confident in what you don't know. That basically means be able to admit you don't know it all, and are going to be learning with the students as you go. Showing you have good work ethic and a descent base of skills is critical to me at least. Without a base, how can you build up? See my point.

Funny.....I've never had a real CFI interview. Typically they just have you do a checkout flight....to make sure you can teach.
