I applied for ExpressJet around the 20th of October, received an interview invitation two Fridays ago, received interview confirmation yesterday (woohoo!), and am interviewing towards the end of November. According to the invite, training starts two weeks after the interview.
But like others have mentioned, each airline is going to be different. I have a few friends that went to that job fair in Dallas about a week ago and all came home with invites for ASA. One guy I know for a fact is interviewing about two weeks from now, and the others have not received confirmation yet. Another friend of mine recently interviewed with American Eagle and it was a two or three day interview process. From what I understand with ExpressJet, you'll find out if you have the job the same day you interview without having to wait for a pilot review board like you'll have to at Eagle.
My best advice would be to figure out which airline you want to work for and try to get in touch with someone who already flies for that company to give you a good idea of the process. Just my two cents. Feel free to give me back any change.
