1. Define Reverse command of the power region?
(Please excuse any spelling)

I'll give the Reverse Command a shot here:
I was taught it this way to help it make more sense...when you are in straight and level flight, your normal pitch and power commands are
--power controls speed, and pitch controls altitude--
Now let's look at the Area of Reverse Command...just like stated in a previous post, you are in "slow flight"....now your "commands" are reversed to change alt. or speed--
power controls altitude, and pitch controls speed--i.e.--if you are in slow flight and you want to descend or climb, either reduce or add power(because your pitch is already there(AOA),...if you want to slow down or speed up, raise or lower the nose.....and when you make a small power change you will make a small pitch change simultaneously or vice-versa to maintain constant alt. or speed whichever one you aren't changing...
this always helped students when they were having trouble landing...i would take them out and do slow flight and make them climb and descend with power and control their speed with pitch, and when the "light" would come on in their head, we would shoot back to the field and use that technique to land.... they would understand that when they are landing they are doing nothing but slow flight...it really taught them to get good and stable on final and make small adjustments with pitch and power....it made me comfortable as an instructor when i knew that they understood the whole scenario...it also made me feel better when they were soloing that if they got slow or low on short final they would use their power and pitch correctly and not pull up if they were low and take a chance of stalling(just add a little power) and if they were a little slow, just put the nose down a little bit to get a little speed back, once they figured how to
use them together and make small corrections it became fun for them and me to see them nailing their landings with good technique....
i know i rambled on but i hope this helps.......if i'm totally off here, someone please chime in...
