Recently I received my temporary certificate for a new rating.
I had a type rating prior to this new rating.
No where on this temporary certificate do I see a mention of my type rating.

Is this normal for type ratings not to be indicated on temporary certificates?

The examiner screwed up and you need to contact either the examiner or the FSDO.

Your temp certificate should include all of the prior ratings that you held, since it is your operating certificate until you get your permanent plastic one. (If you got ramp checked, how would you prove that you were certified to exercise the type rating that isn't shown?)

Odds are that you permanent certificate will also be missing the information, so I'd get on this ASAP. Call OKC or the local FSDO to figure out how to resolve the problem.

Aahhh...now Im POed.

I put the type on the 8710, but then they told me that it didnt matter to put my type on there. So they removed it.

Josh...is the good luck directed towards getting a federal agency to work for me? Thanks for the advice.

Yeah- good luck tracking down the problem!

Which type rating did you "lose"? For what it's worth, it doesn't need to be on the 8710, but it does need to be on the temp certificate...

CALL THAT EXAMINER IMMEDIATELY!!!(if you can). Hopefully s/he didn't send it in yet, and can re-write a new one. You signed it right? Next time make sure EVEYTHING is on there. Last type I got, the guy TWICE spelled my name wrong, and he had to re-write it twice. It WAS a long day for him, but...
