Question International Airport/Facility Directory

Does anybody know of a website that gives International Airport/Facility Directory information like the US Airport/Facility Directory?? If not, is there any good services or books that you can get to access this information?? Airport information for Europe, Middle East, Africa and so on.

If so, could you please post that here, sure would appreciate it.

Is there anything in particular that you are looking for? Most international operators are going to use information provided through a flight planning/charting service such as Jeppesen or Universal Weather.

There are some basic guides out there such as the UV-Trip International Book and Acu-Kwik books.

There are also some basic sites that I use for preliminary planning, but not for navigational/regulatory purposes:

NBAA International Airports Database (Members only)
International Flight Information Manual

There are a few others that I have bookmarked on another computer and can't think of off the top of my head- I'll try to remember to post them later. ~J

Default Type of Information?

Hi Josh,

Yes, just standard operational stuff that is NOT posted in the Jeppesen. For instance, I was going into Sig a couple of months ago, and the Captain was going to exit at a taxiway and the tower happen to notice it and asked us our weight?? That taxiway was not stressed for xxxx lbs or above. If he wouldn't of noticed it, then we might of taxi across it. Pretty much the same operational notes as you see in a US Airport/Facilitary Directory?

Also, I tried to do a google on the UV-Trip International Book and couldn't come up with anything. Where can I find this??

Thanks,
ajx

Ajx,

Here's the UV info:
http://www.universalweather.com/uvtr...lannerref.html

Basically when I fly international, I look up the airport FBO/manager number via one of the previously mentioned sites, then call to ask about local restrictions (noise, weight, customs/immigration, advance notice, hours, etc). Most of the time you won't be able to get all of the AF/D type info without seeking out other sources.
