I'm going to try this. Will report on my success.

Also, I found this other kind of "flashlight hack." I might try it too... might make for an interesting walk-around!

I read this a few times, each time making me laugh harder.

Default Fenix P2D

I started this post awhile back and thanks to everyones' advise, ended up with the Fenix P2D. It's a one cell 123 and can go max for ten minutes, which is adequate. I found a Redhead case at Bass Pro Shops for five dollars. There might be something out there better but for fifty plus five for the case.....two for the battery....and 180 lumens....and its' very small size.......not bad..

DING DING DING DING.... we have a winner.... the best flashlight is the free flashlight, and all our aircraft are required to have them.....

If anybody is interested, I did try the "$10 Police Flashlight Hack" mentioned above. It works great and I use it more than my LED flashlight now. Just be sure to use the 7.2V bulb. (The bulb mentioned in the video isn't strong enough to handle the power and will burn out almost instantly.)

Streamlight stinger is good but i mis the led color of my Inova T4 both are great flashlights but only for 757 captains sadly.
