Default What is cf6-80c2?

Anyone know what each letter and number of this popular GE engine means?
Any good source/reference to look for this info?

I'm not sure what certain letters designate...but here is an overview of the series:

After wrenching on line for 15+ years with various airlines, I can tell you that designators could mean anything (engineering rework) or nothing (type of insulators used on clamps). Could even be customer configuration (AA has the 'dash 4' while CO has a 'dash 9' designator.

Sorry this does nothing for you, but that's what I've experienced!
