I'm not looking to go back and log approaches now. I'm converting my paper log books over to a computer log book and I'm not so sure I should count them. I'm actually considering deleting them. It's only about 5 approaches that I'm talking about and doesn't affect currency either way I just want to make sure everything is done right.
I looked up the reg that BoilerUP mentioned and it says that it must include an instructors signature. So I think I found my answer and I'll delete the entries. At some point I must have thought I could log them but now it looks as if I was wrong. The right thing to do is to delete them and correct my error.
Here is the reg I was looking at:
[(4) A person can use time in a flight simulator, flight training device, or aviation training device for acquiring instrument aeronautical experience for a pilot certificate, rating, or instrument recency experience, provided an authorized instructor is present to observe that time and signs the person's logbook or training record to verify the time and the content of the training session.]
