American interviews and class dates

Edit:
Where is the APA on this? I can't imagine they support this as I'm sure they'd like to see more OTS hiring opportunities.

This is an absolutely unF@ckingbelievable foul that we are putting through high quantities of flows while leaving OTS guys on the hook for nearly a year. Not to mention the Feb/March guys that didn't get even a F@cking CJO or TBNT!

How about I'm sure the APA doesn't really give a sh!t about your concerns regarding the inferiority of flow-thrus to your oh-so-deserving OTS's. I bet you're an amazing pilot and you're super entitled to work for a legacy because the regionals will hire ANYBODY. We don't want a corrupted gene pool, now do we? Isn't that basically what you said earlier, o mighty one?

Nothing against regional pilots. I have lots of friends that went that route and have fown with tons of great Captains that went that route. I just want to see them interview for the job like anyone else.
I'd like the flow to be less than 100% of a class. Oh and I really don't like seeing guys sit around waiting 6 to 9 months for a job offer let alone a class date. People have lives to live and plan for. Maybe you sat around for 16 years waiting for this job, so you don't get that.
I imagine that lots of APA members have friends and family and pilots they've mentored that they'd like to see get an interview, hence my comment about the APA
If I had my say it'd be 33% corporate, 33% regional, 33% military and 1% flow, but I'm not King (despite your "o mighty one" label)

At this point even another "hold tight we are still interested" email would be great. I realize thousands would kill to at least be in the pool so I am greatful but toss us a bone already. Anyway I'll hold my breath for what now seems a September class and try to enjoy my summer.

Granted a letter of some sort would be nice, y'all do realize that the flows are either contractual, or the result of an arbitration?
The recalls of course are exercising their contractual rights.
Just what should APA, or AA, do differently in light of those realities?

Prior to AA taking over all the hiring it wasn't uncommon for those interviewing on the US side to wait several months before even finding out if they were hired. I knew one personally who got a call the next day but that was very uncommon.
Lots of recalls are effecting the OTS hiring, just the way it is for the next year. Eagle has a great group of guys, I'm glad they're finally able to flow after waiting 15+ years. They deserve it.
As with everything, if any of those waiting to hear are offered something take it. You never know. Worst case you get to decide between your present company and AA, with the way things are going here (shrinkage, horrible customer service stats, etc.) it's probably a blessing in disguise.

Eagle/Envoy only has to flow guys if AA has street hires. The company is not obligated to flow guys if there're no OTS.
