Thanks in advance to the ALK guys. I am a QX FO and have a wedding in PHX to attend this summer and I was curious as to where you stay. I was going to see if I could get somewhat of a deal there. You guys generally stay at nice places so I thought I would start there before going to hotwire etc.

We stay at the Scottsdale Marriott Suites Old Town. Phone is 480-945-1550. I've had pretty good luck getting AAG corporate rates at the hotels we stay at in Denver and Chicago. They are always subject to availability of course. I can't imagine Phoenix in the summer is terribly popular. Good Luck.

Often the Bride/Groom get a block of rooms and a lower rate at the hotel where the wedding reception is. When my college buddy got married in Phoenix, he had the reception at the Fiesta Inn (at Broadway and Priest) and it was nice (it's a resort) and we got cheap rooms there. The summer is the off season, I'm told, so you will get a break on the price to begin with. It often is advantageous for out of town guests to stay at the hotel where the reception is so you don't get lost trying to find it. My best wishes to the Bride and Groom.

It's also not uncommon for the hotel to give a higher rate to wedding groups. The rate is discounted from the published "rack rate" but higher than what is available on the internet, etc... Check all the possibilities before going directly through the hotel. Best of luck and congrats to your friends.:D

We may still have a deal over at the Scottsdale Marriott, but I think we recently moved over to the Hyatt across the street. Haven't stayed there yet, but thats what I read !
