Anyone have any recommendations? Hotels that give crew rates? Things that are a must do?
I'll be there for around a week.
PS - I'm SINGLE....if you catch my drift..

This sounds like a trap.
Anyone tell their wife about this site?
Sorry, Blumpkin, I've never laid over in Bangkok.

Have to visit the Nana Plaza on Sukhumvit Rd. By far the best live entertainment in the city. Best bar's there are easily Carousel and Angelwitch. If you haven't been there you haven't seen the nightlife of Bangkok.

If you need help finding something to get into in Bangkok, you are blind. I think you'll do find. If nothing else, just say yes when somebody asks if you want to get a soapie.

Anyone know the crew rates for hotels in bangkok?
I heard crews stay at Grand Sukhumvit?
Try the Hilton on Wireless Road, it's cross-town from the River (east) but within walking distance to most attractions. Tip the bellman, and ask questions.
Also, if your interested in quality medical care, you can get an excellent executive physical at the Bumrungrad Hospital. It's like the Mayo clinic of the far east with discount pricing
Bumrungrad International Hospital | World-class Bangkok Hospital in Thailand for Medical Tourism (http://www.bumrungrad.com/)
I got the full meal deal on a layover for about $400 and flex spending paid.
Bumrungrad International: Check-Up package comparison table - Health Screening Center (http://www.bumrungrad.com/overseas-medical-care/medical-services/clinics-and-centers/package/packagetable.asp)
You can make an appointment online, and the care was first rate. Either way, knowing where a hospital is in a far off land can never hurt.
