Hey guys, I am finishing up my resume (pretty excited) anyway should I basically list what my job description is as an F/O as per our company manuals or be a little more creative? What have you guys done?

Also How should I word being an elected Union Representative? As a "mediator" of sorts between Line pilots & management?

Thanks Guys,

Here's hopefully to a brighter future

Joey, please please please have more than one person proofread your resume before you flood employers with it. I am more than happy to give it a once over for you to look for typos, grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors.

What you put down as job title and job description would depend, in part, on what kind of future job you are looking for. So if you are now a First Officer (I would spell it out instead of saying you're an F/O) and looking for a job in Pharmaceutical Sales, I am not sure going into great detail, per company manual, is doing yourself any favors. I would pick and choose the skills you have as an FO and emphasize those in your quest to be a salesman.

As for being a union rep, "mediator" is a good start. Nothing wrong with actually saying you are a Union representative either.

I care about you and all the young FOs on here. I want your resume to look professional and give a good impression of you on paper. Post it here if you'd like, or PM it to me and Lori Clark and some others you trust and who have your best interest in mind. You are NOT sending out some half-assed resume. Not as long as I am Mom!
