Hey there. Has anyone been to school for an Excel Initial recently? I have found CAE Simuflite and FlightSafety. CAE cost looked like about 19K, FSI has not returned my call or email. Anyone have any reviews or other training providers? Thanks!

Our company operates XLSs. I have been to both CAE and FSI, and (this is just my personal opinion) I feel like both places charge way more than they're worth. I'm guessing that an initial at FSI will be in the high twenties as far as cost goes with CAE being a good bit cheaper. We use FSI since we are on a Full Service contract which allows us to train as much as we want throughout the year. Both places will get you through the type ride, but the quality of your training will depend on who your instructors are. Good luck.

I used FSI SAT for my type. I have used FSI MCO for recurrents and prefer MCO to SAT. Great instructors in MCO and for us we have direct flights to MCO.
