So my boss just decided after four months that he is getting out of flying. We are on our second airplane and he doesn't understand that things happen and you have to fix them. He is not buying brand new planes, but says its just too expensive. He hired me in april and bought a plane to fly him back and forth to work. We have a contract, for 1 year with possibility for 2 but thats obvisouly doubtful. any ideas on how that conversation should go? Or am I just screwed?

Sorry to hear that. It's just like expensive cars for some. They can afford the vehicle but when a 8,000 bill comes they stop breathing.

Unfortunately forcasted maintenance costs should have been discussed previous to even the first airplane and then double the number. Setting expectations has to happen.

Alternative could be to find a partner with similar interests, travel agendas and identified expectations.

A friend of mine runs this site and he does a great job of keeping quality jobs on the site rather than mass posting.

Good luck
