They look like very similar companies. Both are hiring, but I see differences. AMF wants 50 ME (prefers 100) but Key Lime doesn't require any specific amount of ME time, only 135 IFR mins with a Commercial AMEL (this is for PIC, not a F/O position). Does anyone know of pilots that have been hired at KL with less than 50hrs ME?

Both fly similar equipment and pay looks similar however I don't know anything about differences in schedules, QOL or mx. What does everybody think?

Already plenty of threads on AMF. Check out both company's websites. If you want to travel or see a lot of the country then I would go with AMF, we have a base for everyone. If you want to go to stay in Colorado and the Four Corners area then go to KL. I know KL has the chieftains and FO's in the metro and lears.

I have heard of guys getting hired at KL with less than 50 ME. Really, it's more about multi competency (and how many hours of your multi are LEGIT multi).

Both fly the same schedules, so QOL is probably pretty close, however, while AMF has only a jumpseat agreement with SWA (correct me if I'm wrong), KL has several airlines, so jumping out somewhere else on your weekends off may be easier with KL.

Also, with the recent change in compensation and benefits, I think KL may actually pay better now.

I work for KL and can answer questions via email. I don't visit the boards all that often. The jump in benefits really increased the QOL. flyinbrian913@gmail.com

Key Lime also did away with their SIC program whereas AMF still uses Eagle Jet as a third party to recruit for theirs.

If we could just get a couple more metroliner guys... I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but it will actually be a descent place to work.

Lot of good things going on for key lime right now.

It really isn't a bad place to work. I keep watching other companies in pax, freight, and 121 but I am making more per year than they start at (I started in May) and I am home every night.

Did I mention they pay my health insurance, give vacation time, match my 401K, and have jump seat agreements? :-)
