If anyone has an Interview with this company out of Scottsdale AZ, stay away far far away, even in this economy it is not worth the risk it will put your ticket in. If you want more info PM me.

Is this Angel Med Flight in Scottsdale looking for 35 and 60 crews? Can you elaborate?

Whether he's talking about AMF or something else, AMF probably isn't a place you'd want to work. None of the medics are happy that I know of and I've heard some pretty crazy stories. Everyone works in fear of losing their jobs...

As stated above, horrible working conditions, people getting fired constantly, there vendors pilots are pushed to the limit, I cant even imagine working for them directly, why is that airplane not flying even though the aircraft has a valid right up type stuff. They have been thru like 7 vendors and no one will work for them anymore because the company is so unstable. Stay away, I feel bad for the medical crews that work there, they are great and I hope they do not have any incidents or accidents, but it is heading that way.

If anyone has any questions as to what it's like to work directly for the company, send me a PM. In my experience, the posts above are 100% accurate, though I am told things may have recently improved for the better.

It has not improved, I can guarantee you that.

Just wanted to say, they are hiring under the name Air West Charter. I cant reiterate enough how bad this company is to work with. I just found out about another good person who was fired for not doing the dirty bidding of the owner. We as pilots must try to keep companies like this from succeeding, and the best way is to not work for them. By the way I have not actually worked for them directly, just for a company that contracted with them, it was absolutely miserable.

I've had personal interaction with the head guy at AMF and can guarantee you don't want to work for him or any of his affiliates. It's quite commical observing from the outside, but a nightmare from an employee's position. And on top of that, the airplanes he's buying are junk... all early searial numbers that will only have problems on the road the way they fly.

Dtotul totally true, an absolute dirtbag, the owner. Want to see how comical and idiotic he is.check out the pictures of him on there website. Probably the biggest POS I have ever met. Anyways I have said enough.

Just to clarify a couple of things: The 135 certificate name is Aviation West Charters, Inc.
The medical side of the house is: Angel MedFlight.

Mr. Lear 31 Pilot,

I have been working for A company based in Columbus, OH; there are a number of pilots (Lear 60) that are leaving this company for Aviation West. I am concerned with what I see, even though I hear there are a lot of perks there.

What experiences have you encountered? Obviously, you are not the only one.

Thanks.

Michael

Just out of curiosity is this the same company that has an ad on Climbto350 that states no relocation required?

Yeah, there is no relocation, because you live on the road. The nurses' schedule was 8 on, 6 off. Don't know what their pilots' schedules are. I heard they're operating under a different 135 holder now. If it continues as it has in the past, that will change 3 or 4 more times this year...

Well here I go, the company I was working for did work for them for about 4 months. In that time the Owner of Angel Medflight tryed to buy are company and when our owner turned him down, he started yelling breach of contract everytime there was any mechanical or duty issues we had. And then screwed us for a substancial amount of money in the end. This guy that owns AMF is super unstable, fires people all the time and it is probably one of the most hostile work enviroments I have ever seen. I would seriously warn anyone about going to work for them and if you do I see two outcomes, you get fired or you tell them to go screw themselves in a very short period because of the way they pushed you. Best of luck but there is a reason they are constantly looking for pilots.

Does anyone know if these conditions have changed in the past year since Lear31's last post?

The fact that they've been running job ads every few weeks for as long as I can remember should be indicative of something.
