I wouldn't want to land one of these in a strong crosswind with that narrow gear! Last March I saw one of these collapse the left main, and slide to a halt just feet from the Oak tree near the middle of the runway over at Spruce Creek.
Found this interesting tidbit on-line:
The aircraft was marketed as a kit from 1984 to 1989. By the end of 1989 approximately 80 kits had been sold, although there were only 48 sets of landing gear, which were built by the landing gear vendor.
