Does anyone know of a use for an aircraft in the medical field other than using it for an air ambulance? An air ambulance was the first idea, but we are looking for other options are out there. Thanks for the help. Feel free to PM me with some info if you would like.

Not sure exactly what you mean. Like organ transfers? Or shuttling doctors around to remote towns?

The 135 I used to work for had quite a bit of business shuttling transplant teams to pick up organs.

King Air 200's are pretty good. Im a Pilot/RN I'm looking to start a medevac. Hope that helps.

Air ambulance in Lears for me consisted of patient and organ transport. Non air ambulance medical flights consisted of patient transport that were not as time critical.

I'll second that. The 135 I worked for had a variety of King Airs, but the 200s were our primary medical birds. Typically went with 4 pax, sometimes 6, and a ton of baggage (bags and coolers). Out between 10-11 usually, in between 3-4. It would make for a long night, but the nursing teams were very cool and a true pleasure to fly.

The doctor teams, on the other hand, typically required (yes, required) the jet, either a CJ or Westwind, and were more or less pricks to everyone involved.

Still talk to a couple of the nurses we flew, and they're one of the few groups of people I know who truly enjoy their jobs like some pilots do.
