I was wondering when you jumpseat on FedEx or UPS, is there a shuttle to get you from the cargo ramp to the terminal or is there a shuttle that FedEx or UPS that can take to you the terminal?
I haven't jumpseated on these two carriers yet and was wondering if I needed a taxi or how that works. Also, are you allowed to keep your car in the parking lot? Ex. departing MSP to TYS.
Thanks

I know in DEN and ANC both there's a shuttle. In ANC I didn't have a problem leaving a car there at FedEx. I'm currently working out of the UPS building in DEN and you probably won't have any issue leaving a car there. Don't know about the other stations.

One thing is for sure, I'd much rather ride FedEx or UPS than any pax carrier. Much better ride and a lot less drama. Enjoy the ride!

The out-stations are much different from the hubs. Some you can park at, some you can't, some you need a taxi. When you book your jumpseat ask for the ramp contact information, Phone #/Address, they should be able to fill you in how the specifics work at their location.

Sometimes if the crew you're riding with are being picked up by a limo, or a taxi, or a van, and where you're going is on their way, they might give you a ride. As well, if any of the crew lives there, he or she might also drop you off, if it's not inconvenient for them. A little hint: if the crew allows you to ride in their commercial transport, it would be much appreciated if you provided the tip to the driver, on behalf of the crew. If you know for sure that you're on your own for transport, you might ask the crew if they'd ask the ramp to call you a taxi, on their in-range call.
