Does anyone know when a trip in a new bid month is removed for the 48hr international buffer at the end of a big international pairing? I have a international trip carrying out of July into Aug. I had one trip removed for carry in conflict due to insufficient rest, the other trip is 30 hours after the end of my international trip, but has not been removed yet. Will it stay, or does it come off at the close of the conflict window Mon AM. I did not waive the buffers. Thanks

Call futures scheduling, but before you do look at the summary page in the bid period processing section of vips.

Yeah. I checked the summary page. It shows a "c" by the trip that was removed, but nothing by the other trip. Just wasn't sure if they remove the trips at different times. I don't want to call because I would like to keep the trip the left on there. I didn't waive the buffer, but I didn't think I would get the line I ended up getting. Thanks for the reply.

The applicable paragraph is:

12.D.1.d.ii. A pilot shall be relieved of all duty and reserve availability for at least 48 consecutive hours at the conclusion of an international trip that exceeds 120 hours TAFB, except for trips scheduled in accordance with Section 12.D.1.c.i. If the 48 hour buffer conflicts with an R-24 pilot's notification window, he shall be responsible for reserve assignments placed in VIPS at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled showtime of the assignment (as described in Section 25.M.3.a.iii.(b)).

If the trip is less than 120 hours TAFB then the post-duty rest is a legal rest period or double the block time of the last leg. The system knows the scheduled times, and should have kicked it out if it met the parameters. If something SNAFU'd then the futures folks should rectify it before the View/Add window opens on Wed.

But since you want to keep the trip, seems like all you need to do is wait and see.
