I do a little research for a model aircraft company and we have hit a rut with something... We are in the research stage of releasing an F-4G Wild Weasel from the 35th FW "WW" tailcode. Serial # 69-7623 is the aircraft we would like to do but we are having some trouble sourcing photographs. We have some from 1991 that show it with 5 unit markings on the intake and quite a few others that show it with 4. The aircraft in question was flown by a Col. Ron Karp and the back-seater was a Maj. Kerry Bowers. Does anyone have any info on how I could possibly reach them or of anyone that worked on/around these aircraft during Desert Storm? Thanks and please PM me.

35th Fighter Wing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/35th_Fighter_Wing)

This seems pretty accurate. Unfortunately, George has closed. If you can't find folks who served in the squadron with that particular Phantom at that time, you might try to get in touch with the AF Historians. Start with Public Affairs at Misawa, and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Contact UALT38 here on APC.
He flew F-4Gs I'm pretty sure.
He likely has contacts/information that you would find useful.

Not sure if this will help at all, but I think some of the G's went to Gowen Field in Boise after George closed down. It might be one of the jets they got.
Stab in the dark, but hope it helps.

For Misawa Air Base (current home of 35FW), call 011-81-176-77-3501 . That will connect you with the Wing Commander's front office staff. They should be able to point you to either Wing Public Affairs or the Wing Historian. Good luck! Oh, and don't forget the timezone difference. They are Zulu + 9.

A big thanks to UALT38! He helped me out a lot referencing some pictures of his Weasels and now we are making a model of one of his aircraft.

Saw them both at the 561FS Desert Storm reunion in October. Great guys. PM me and I will put you in touch. Flew that plane a couple of times.
