Quick question for you as I was talking to a senior capt the other day and he told me that if I bid all of my 22 days of vacation in say February (4 week month) and I bid a VTO line, the company will pay the 132 credit hours.

Is that true? Just wondering.

Believe that's true, as long as your seniority lets you hold all the weeks. Have fun!

I believe standard VTO build logic is to use all the vacation hours you have that month (at 6 hours/day) and then add trips as necessary.

If you can hold all 4 (or 5) weeks in a month and bid VTO, then you can have one huge month.

Seeing that hardly anyone bids February the first go around, you can probably hold three weeks of vacation no matter what your seniority.

Do it in Jan every year. Get my 90 hours. 7 + 8 days.
