Umm. Mr. Cohen, there are a lot of descriptions of what an airline pilot does that you are leaving out, conveniently, I might add.

Any two pilots could be entrusted with the safe travel of hundreds to thousands of people on a given day.

There is a big difference in the value of someone that ensures the safe operation of an airliner from point A to B than someone that simply flies an airplane.

"Pretty Cool" isn't a tangible monetary unit that we can buy things and pay bills with.

This is what happens when the totally clueless are given audience to speak their mind. No different than Hollywood opining on politics.

Of course the problem is that the general public will believe him, and the minute that the low fares to Orlando grind to a halt you can bet that the letters, emails, and phone calls will be flying.

No, pay me for what you pray does not happen when you are on the plane as a passenger. We, as pilots, have more responsibility that you can fathom. Go back to the hole you crawled out of.

Nope....according to his background he comes from the PR side. Lots of working as a mouthpiece for different companies (started with TWA) but no flying experience whatsoever which explains his comments about "getting paid to fly is cool" and "flying circles" to build time (never thought working as a CFII and flying charters was flying circles but whatever). His degree is in Journalism.

Essentially he knows nothing but the talking points laid down in front of him by RAA members.....

He brags about making $30,000 to the Wichita Aero Club (Whatever that is) and people think "Wow- thats a lot of money!". However no one has a base in ICT, the bases are in NY,DC,Chicago, LA which allows you to buy nothing on $30,000 a year.

Seriously Roger (and I know you're reading this because you are a megalomaniac who needs to feed off of his press junkets) give that SAME speech to the Aero Club of DC. Put on your nice suit and speak in front of the mover and shakers in the Air and Space Museum, and say "You can make $30,000 a year". They'll laugh you out of the building! Hell, the janitor cleaning up after the event makes about $50,000 - He'll be laughing too!

That's what is particularly sad about the current state of things. He boasts about starting pay being 30k per year, which he knows is a complete lie...yet even his falsified beginning salary is horribly low.
